BACKGROUND: Charlemagne’s empire is in trouble. He is waiting to hear from ambassadors from several cities and places so he can figure out where the trouble spot is.
DIRECTIONS: Use the clues to locate and write the places on your map and eliminate the cities that are not the problem. The last city left is where Charlemagne will have to go to put down a revolt by the count. When you are finished, you should have all the places written on your blank map, including the one that did not send an ambassador.
